The 20th Summer campaign of the Institute for Blood Transfusion of Serbia

The Institute for Blood Transfusion of Serbia and the Red Cross of Serbia are organizing the Summer Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign for the 20th year in a row, which is called "Let's paint the summer red" this year. The jubilee campaign will last for three months, until 31st August.

Two Belgrade municipalities, Voydovac and Palilula, will have the honor of ceremonially opening this year's campaign with voluntary blood donation actions. On the first day of the Summer Campaign, two transfusion buses will be stationed in front of the Stadion Shopping Center from 13:00 to 17:00 and in front of the BIG Shopping Center from 10:00 to 15:00.

During the campaign, more than 40 cities and municipalities in Belgrade and Serbia, in over 350 actions, will compete for the prestigious title "Champion of Solidarity". The plaque of thanks for the most successful will be presented at the festive New Year's reception.

This year, as part of the Summer Campaign, the promotion of enrollment in the Register of hematopoietic stem cells donors of Serbia continues.

Continuous collection of sufficient amounts of blood, a minimum of 300 units every day, in the summer period is an extremely difficult task and only joint forces can successfully respond to this challenge.

Everyone is invited to be a part of this year's Summer campaign, to voluntarily donate blood and join the Registry in their city or municipality.
