The Belgrade Tourist Organization is pleased to announce the 20th Anniversary Belgrade Boat Carnival, on Sunday, June 1st from 16:30 to 22:30, when our fellow citizens and domestic and foreign guests will enjoy a spectacular parade of decorated boats, a cheerful carnival on the banks of the Sava Promenade, a parade of majorettes, entertainers and numerous musical concerts during the evening in which we celebrate the twentieth anniversary of this event.
The event is being organized with the support of the City of Belgrade, and the Anniversary Boat Carnival will also be the final event within the "Belgrade Family Days" event.
The program begins at 16:30 with a concert of the "Carolija" Choir of the Children's Cultural Center Belgrade, which traditionally opens the section intended for the youngest visitors and their parents. This is followed by a parade by the Police Orchestra which every year attracts great sympathy with its festive musical parade led by carnival groups of majorettes from Bela Crkva and numerous masked animators and entertainers.
During this time, decorated vessels of all kinds, from all Belgrade marinas, will set off from the fifth kilometer of the Sava River in the famous parade on the water, the central part of the event, which visitors will be able to watch from 18:30 from the Sava Promenade. All vessels, as in all previous years, will be in the race for the most beautifully decorated boat, and the winners will receive prizes.
After the program on the water, visitors will be entertained throughout the evening by Zoran Brankovic and the "Centar za hitne popravke raspolozenja" with their musical repertoire of popular songs about Belgrade and hits from the 1970s and 1980s.
This year, the Children's Cultural Center Belgrade has prepared an art workshop called "Sidji do reke, danas mi smo dole, sidji do reke, lepse je sve u dvoje" (Come down to the river, today we are down, come down to the river, everything is more beautiful in two), where the youngest visitors will have the opportunity to paint the ambiance of the promenade, the beauty of the river and the boats. There is also an "Activity Center" with sports fields, relay races and lots of fun for the little ones, and refreshments will be provided by a mobile refrigerator with "Bubamara" ice creams. The presence of SOS Children's Villages of Serbia will mark the event as charity event again this year.
On the promenade in front of SC Galerija, all the way to the Belgrade Tower, a handicraft market will be organized by small producers who will present their handicrafts, natural cosmetics, toys and other authentic and unique products. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the offer of creative works from more than 35 exhibitors at the "Craft Market".
