Belgrade Biennale 2025

Belgrade, a city at the crossroads of worlds, becomes a temporary hub of artistic impulses, a place of silence and noise, color and emptiness, questions and revelations

Monday 26th of May 2025

The Belgrade Biennale 2025 brings together fifteen artists from thirteen countries and four continents, creating a map of contemporary creativity that knows no borders. From expressive oils on canvas to three-dimensional sculptures, from intimate movements to public murals, this exhibition opens a space for dialogue between cultures, sensibilities and artistic languages.

In five carefully selected gallery spaces in Belgrade, visitors have the opportunity to experience a diversity of styles, techniques and messages - but also to discover what art from all over the world has in common: a sincere need to express, connect and discover meaning.

The Biennale does not pretend to offer a single meaning of modernity, but rather to present, through diverse artistic voices, the wealth of perspectives that shape the world today. The artists of this year's edition come from Japan, Mexico, the USA, Canada, Serbia, Italy, Great Britain, Poland, China, Ivory Coast, Moldova, Bangladesh and Bulgaria - and each of them brings their own piece of the universal puzzle.
