Through drawings, photographs, and personal items of Milan Zlokovic preserved in the Belgrade City Museum, the "Milan Zlokovic" Foundation, the Museum of Applied Art, and private collections, the exhibition highlights the link between the early works of architect Milan Zlokovic and the Art Deco style that marked the 1920s and 1930s.
The significance of Milan Zlokovic (1898–1965) primarily lies in his leading role in the development of modern architecture in the domestic region. The re-evaluation of Art Deco architecture in the Serbian context has also included new interpretations of Zlokovic's early opus, within which various elements of this style can be identified, as is presented in detail in this exhibition.
