Saint Sava (c. 1175–1235) is one of the most significant figures in Serbian history, spirituality, and culture. As the founder of the autocephalous Serbian Church, an educator, legislator, and diplomat, Saint Sava left a deep and lasting mark on the shaping of Serbian cultural and spiritual identity.

His work encompasses organizing church life and establishing the ecclesiastical-legal order and education, literary work, and endowment activities, all permeated by a continuous spiritual mission of laying sacred foundations into the core of the medieval Serbian state through journeys to the most important centers of the Eastern Christian world, redeeming shrines, and acquiring relics.

By presenting valuable original items - ranging from historical documents, old handwritten and printed books, fresco painting, icons, graphic prints, paintings, and church-artistic embroidery to other works such as copies of frescoes and stone plastics, as well as digital and multimedia content - this exhibition aims to showcase the life, work, and legacy of Saint Sava, bringing them closer to the contemporary visitor.
