Exhibition: Laza Lazarevic
A chamber exhibition on the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the birth of the Serbian writer and physician

Laza K. Lazarevic (1851-1890) was dedicated to medicine and the medical profession, followed scientific papers in the field of medicine, and left his own scientific contribution by writing several works published during his short life. The majority of his papers related to nervous diseases, so Laza Lazarevic can be considered the first Serbian neurologist.
In literature, he was a representative of Serbian realism. He was a regular member of the Serbian Learned Society from 1883 and a corresponding member of the Serbian Royal Academy from 1888. Works by Laza Lazarevic, as well as books about him from the collections of the SASA Library, are on display.
